ShaneOphoto attends Denver Body Jam

Today I decided to take up an invite by local body painters Kate Geesman and Mythica Von Griffyn to attend a bi-weekly event in Denver called Body Jam. This event allows several of Denver’s body painters to get together in 1 venue with several models who all want to be the canvases for the artists. Then the event also has about a half dozen professional photographers on hand to capture the event. As for the artists that I followed at today event, Kate is just beginning in the world of Body Painting and painted a Mardi Gras Style mask on her model. Mythica a more Seasoned body painter combine the last 2 practice shoots of Koi Fish and placed it on 2 canvases as 1 image. i hope you enjoy these shots, and if you are interested in being painted by either artist you are welcome to let me know and I will happily deliver the messages to them.

Sexy Zombie Santa

Ah December, the month where we think of Santa Clause, Candy Canes, Ginger Bread Men, Lots of Cheer, and of course Zombies! Oh wait, perhaps not everyone thinks of zombies, nor Zombies in Lingerie…Here at ShaneOphoto, I think of both! what can I say Halloween is my Christmas, so why not combine the 2?

Denver Makeup artist Kate Geesaman, and Body Painter Mythica Von Gryffyn were quick to team up with me to make this vision come to light. After a disastrous casting, I managed to cast 3 gorgeous young ladies; Laura Orduno, Mychaella Todd, and Stephaney Bailey, which all brilliently played the part of my Sexy Zombie Santa’s. I had a wonderful crew on board for this one as well. We all had a ton of fun. I hope you all enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed creating them! As always please tell me what you think and like us on your Facebook!

9 News Parade of Lights 2011

Despite cold weather and flurries, 9 News Parade of Lights in Denver Colorado drew thousands of people to the streets for a glimpse of the holiday spirit. With the essence of coffee and hot chocolate in the air we all watched intently, with anticipation of Santa Clause ringing in Christmas Season as the parade Fanale. Here are just a few of the images I managed to capture.

Sunday – Nan Desu Kan Denver 2011

This was a wild year for Anime Lovers in Denver! The 2011 Nan Desu Kan Denver, which was celebrating its 15th year, came to its close today. Early indications show that the convention reached its cap of 2000 guests, most of which celebrated their passion for the art decked out as their favorite characters from their favorite Anime’s, others were there to Cos Play, and yet others were there to meet with old friends. The convention also allowed guests to meet artists, voice actors, and other Anime celebrities from all over the world. (see my first post for list of celebrities that were present.) Despite long lines, Kon goers seemed to have a great time watching amime’s, gaming, getting up to date on the craft in the many panels that were offered, and are already looking forward to next years event. Here are some photo’s from today.
